I became interested in the art of balloon twisting when a friend was planning to start a ministry to children's centers, and convalescent hospitals to share the Good News of Christ. She was going to hire someone, so a friend and I signed up for a class to learn how to make balloon animals. I was a natural, and a short time later I surprised her with my new skill. She was ecstatic!! I loved the smiles that shined on people's faces when I took this little strip of latex, and made it into a simple teddy bear, or doggy. The reward is in the smile! Nearly twelve years later I'm still twisting away, and the places and people I have entertained are incredibly diverse. Microsoft, The City of Pinole, Ernst & Young, TVO, Silicon Graphics, Hilton Hotel SF, Great America amusement park, Chevron, Kaiser Medical, Westfield Malls, The Home Church, Calvary Los Gatos, Lorel Space Systems, Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, IHOP, Spoons Restaurant, Chevys Restaurants, Comerica Bank, Silicon Valley Surgery Center, KQED, Barry Swenson Builder, and uncountable birthday and other parties such as weddings, anniversaries, Christenings, bar mitzvahs, vacation Bible schools, and much much more!!! I still use my gift to share the Gospel and look forward to going on missions trips to entertain underprivileged children in other countries. | I've lived in the Sacramento area for 5 years now, and love the people here. I came from San Jose where I spent most my life, school, work, and play. Housing costs were the primary reason for moving here. The wilderness areas are wonderful, but it's the people that keep me here. I look forward to meeting you, and receiving another reason to stay in the Sacramento Area. |
